When: Tuesday, June 6th, 2017 from 11:00AM to 4:00PM

Description:
The ACT Institute is excited to welcome all NYC ACT Peer Specialists to our first ACT Peer Specialist Learning Community.

The goals for this meeting are:

1.  To understand the challenges and opportunities for Peer Specialists working on ACT teams.

2. To establish a network and community of Peer Specialists on ACT teams.

3. To develop a clear a Scope of Practice for Peer Specialists on ACT Teams.

Working as a Peer Specialist on an ACT Team has a particular set of benefits and challenges. As the voice with personal experience on a clinical team, you have the ability to engage ACT participants in a way no one else can. At the same time there are unique challenges to integrating the peer perspective on a multidisciplinary team.

Come, share your voice and perspective, network with other peer specialists, meet Peer Leaders in the field and share skills and tips on working with ACT participants and your fellow team members.  This gathering will be a mix of workshops and discussion, and provide a space to build an intentional community.
