Bio: Dr. Kloosterman serves as an Implementation Specialist for the Suicide Prevention – Training, Implementation, and Evaluation program at the New York State Psychiatric Institute (NYSPI). As a qualitative and program evaluation expert, Dr. Kloosterman designs comprehensive process and product evaluations for mental health initiatives led by NYSPI and the Suicide Prevention Center of New York State (SPCNY). She creates, plans, and implements main evaluation components, including conceptual frameworks, logics models, and evaluation tools, as well as data collection and analysis, and formative and summative evaluation reports. Throughout her career, Dr. Kloosterman has been deeply involved in the field of education and health promotion, through which she has directly assisted children and families, educators, and health practitioners in diverse communities, especially those underrepresented and underserved. She has also written and published in English and Spanish, presented nationally and internationally, trained researchers and practitioners, and actively served in professional and community-based organizations. Dr. Kloosterman’s holistic and constructivist approach continues to enrich and reaffirm her commitment to serving others.

Bio: Faria Islam is a graduate of Columbia University with a bachelor's degree in psychology and women’s and gender studies. Her experiences as an executive director of Active Minds and as a research intern at Columbia University Department of psychology have taught her how to support people with mental health issues. She enjoys this type of work because she wants to change the conversation on mental health and make it more accessible and less stigmatizing for young people who want to talk about it. Bio: Chloe-Elyse is an Implementation Specialist for the Focus on Integrated Treatment (FIT) Initiative. Prior to joining CPI’s staff, Chloe-Elyse worked as a Trainer and Technical Assistance Provider primarily in Trauma-Informed Care. Chloe-Elyse also has an extensive clinical background providing psychotherapy, with her Masters in Mental Health Counseling and Behavioral Medicine. Chloe-Elyse brings her passion for education, community and behavioral health to every role.
