This HCBS online training is required for all Adult BH HCBS providers.
The training is separated into three sections, as seen below in the diagram:
- Overview of HARP/HCBS: These webinars provide staff with an overview of HARP and HCBS workflow, foundation, and service description. When appropriate, case examples are used to illustrate service components. The intent is to show staff what HCBS might look like on the ground, with the expectation that instruction in skills and modalities should be occurring at the community agency level and outside of these minimum requirements.
- Core Knowledge Areas: These trainings consist of modules that provide foundational knowledge and skills demonstrations for areas such as: Engagement, Motivational Interviewing and Trauma-Informed Care
- HCBS Service Specific Training: These webinars provide information illustrating the specific HCBS services and how the Core Knowledge Areas would be operationalized throughout the services. Description of the services with examples are provided. These webinars take each specific Adult BH HCBS and focus on each core knowledge area and their application to each service
