Core Competencies of Crisis Care

The CRESTNY ‘Core’ trainings will provide an overview of the core competencies and related skills needed to deliver engaging crisis care across the array of behavioral health services and roles in New York State. It will introduce the central role of engagement in crisis care as both a process and an outcome, and highlight the potential of crisis as a catalyst for connection to supports, healing, and recovery. The Crisis and Community Landscape training will break down the elements of New York State’s behavioral health crisis services and how they operate as part of communities and recovery-oriented systems of care.
