SP-TIE Suicide Prevention-Training, Implementation and Evaluation

The Suicide Prevention-Training, Implementation and Evaluation program (SP-TIE) aims to reduce suicidal behavior and suicide across New York State through consultation, training and implementation of evidence-based practices.

Prevention of suicide involves identification, assessment, treatment and support for at-risk individuals as well as upstream efforts at preventing the development of suicide risk. Training is geared towards gatekeepers (e.g. school counselors, police, clergy), clinicians responsible for identifying and treating suicidal individuals and policy makers/administrators responsible for creating an environment that promotes quality care for suicidal individuals.

Our training is delivered via in-person and distance-learning modalities. Trainers include both staff of the Center for Practice Innovations and other expert consultants.
